Obituary
Jeanne Marie Pakes, 58, of Williston, FL passed away July 2, 2016. Born in Pontiac, MI she came to this area in 2010. There are no words to describe the importance of Jeanne to Inspo, the farm to which she dedicated the last 34 years of her working life, or more importantly, to the personal lives of all associated with her there. Her work ethic and loyalty to Belinda and all the horses she cared for are legendary in the Dressage community. Jeanne was recognized at Regional, National and even Olympic competitions as one of the very best at her craft. More importantly though, her animals, large and small, recognized her love for them every day. We miss her terribly. She is survived by her mother, Dolores Pakes of Inverness, FL; brothers, Robert Pakes of Inverness, FL, John (Janine) Pakes of Monticello, GA and David (Kelly) Pakes of Windham Center, PA; sisters, Susan Medina of Point Reyes, CA and Peggy Rhoads of Bismark, ND; close friends and employer Bill and Belinda Wertman of Williston. She was preceded in death by her father, Lamont Pakes. A Celebration of Jeanne’s Life will be held at Baldwin Brothers, Heritage Chapel (954 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala 236-5884) on Friday, July 15th at 10AM.
