Obituary
Jeanne Margaret Donaldson, 72, of Fort Myers passed away October 11, 2017 .
Jeanne was born in Bradford, England to the late Rodney and Clara Collins on November 10, 1944. She grew up in Jackson, Michigan and graduated from Jackson Northwest High School in 1962. She received a Master of Arts degree in Communications from Eastern Michigan University in 1991.
Jeanne worked for many years at the National Bank of Jackson and Comerica Bank in Jackson, Michigan. After graduating from college she taught communication and speech at Eastern Michigan University and Washtenaw Community College.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, David, her devoted son Mark Skinner, his wife Kathy of Jackson Michigan; and her loving daughter Mary Cedotal of Jackson, Michigan. She is also survived by her husband’s children whom she loved dearly, Donna Howland (Jeff), Daniel Donaldson (Bre) and Dana Rook. She is also survived by her sisters Judy Stewart (Richard) of Mason, Michigan and Janice Fransted of Jackson, Michigan as well as grandchildren Jacob Howland, Casey Howland, Kylee Howland, Corey Skinner, Erin Skinner, Nick Garbacik, Noah Garbacik, Michael Rook and Alyssa Rook and 11 great grandchildren.
She and her husband lived for 16 years in Ann Arbor, Michigan and retired to Heritage Palms G&CC in Fort Myers, Florida in 2002. She loved her retirement at Heritage Palms where she enjoyed playing golf with the Hooters golf group and the WGA 9 holers group. She was an affectionate wife, mother, and grandmother, a caring friend and had an ability of putting people at ease with her warm outgoing personality.
A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held by family and friends at Cascades Manor House, 1970 Kibby Rd., Jackson, Michigan on October 28th from 2 – 5 pm.
