On April 19, 2021 Jeffery Scott Lemmer peacefully entered God’s wonderful Kingdom. Jeff was only 60 years old, born January 5, 1961 and if you asked him, he would tell you that he was only 50. Jeff had a love for life like no other. If you met Jeff, you knew that about him instantly. He always had a smile on his face and joke or a hilarious comment to follow, such as “Yeppers”, “take your time but hurry back”, “Every family should have one of these” and “I can’t take you anywhere, but everywhere”. Jeff loved to make everyone laugh, he had a gift to gab. He never met a stranger. His magnetic energy drew people to him, and you would just want to be around him. He would go out of his way to help others any way that he could, and he lived by the no shirt no shoes policy. He was fun, adventurous and a tad accident prone, but it never stopped him.
Jeff was a hard worker and has done everything from trimming trees for Asplundh Tree Service, which he did for over 15 years, to construction and concrete work for the next 15 years. Jeffs favorite occupation was his boat detailing business, Finesse Boat Detailing, that he started 6 years ago in Florida.
Jeff loved living in Florida and wished that he would have moved here 40 years ago. Jeff loved the ocean and taking pictures of sunrises and sunsets. He loved taking pictures of everything and would stop whatever he was doing to capture that perfect shot.
Jeff loved his life with his wife Tammy of 24 years. He supported, encouraged and cherished her every day. They were truly best friends. Their love for each other survived every obstacle.
Jeff adored, loved and was very proud of his two girls Ashley and Heather. He was amazed at what beautiful and strong woman they both grew up to be. Walking them down the aisle filled his heart with such pride and gave him an inner peace knowing that they both had found perfect love and happiness. He was looking forward to having grandchildren someday.
Jeff loved spending time with his family and had a special close relationship with his “Brotha” Jason, sister-in-law Pamela, nieces Lex and lil’ Lauren and mother-in law Laura. He loved his mother Margaret very much. He was happy to have her spend her winters with him poolside in Florida.
Jeff loved the warmth of the sunshine, flip flops and music of every era, especially Howard Livingston which drew him to Florida. He also loved racing and anything fast and loud. Jeff raced cars for over 20 years of his life and raced in everything from mud races to drag races. His relationships with fellow racers he still maintained today. Jeff also made many wonderful friendships over the years. He left a lasting impression on them as they have on him. He held each of them near and dear to his heart.
Jeff is survived by his wife Tammy Lemmer, daughters Ashley (Derek) Schoch and Heather (Greg) Logterman. Mother Margaret Lemmer, mother-in law Laura Humphrey, brother-in-law Jason (Pam) Humphrey and sister-in-law Jodi Lemmer. Jeff is also survived by nieces and nephews, Alexis Humphrey, Lauren Humphrey, Tyler Lemmer, Travis Lemmer, Jenna Haff and Josh Haff and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Jeff was proceeded in death by his father Henry Lemmer, brother Robert Lemmer and sister Sandy Haff. He loved them very much and is now reunited with them in God’s Kingdom.
Special thank you to Hope Hospice Care, especially nurse Marian, who made life more tolerable during Jeff’s final months.
A Celebration of Life will he held at a later date in Wisconsin this summer.
