Obituary

Jeffrey Carl McFaul of Zellwood, FL passed comfortably on Sunday, January 5. The love of his life for 20 years, his wife, Jeanne McFaul was by his side.  Jeff was born in Gardner, MA, November 24, 1945.  He is survived by his daughters Tammi McFaul and her companion Ed Stacy of Baldwinville, MA, Darcy Bastarache and her husband Bruce of Cape Neddick, ME and Destiny Wambu who lived and brought joy to Jeff in their home in Zellwood Station.  His daughters were all able to gather to peacefully help him with his next journey.  He will be missed by his sister Judith McFaul of Venice, FL.  Among the other family that will miss his sense of humor are his 5 stepchildren, 4 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 2 great grandchildren, his uncle, cousins, niece, nephews, sister-in laws and friends old and new.  He was predeceased by his Mother and Father, William & Dorothy McFaul and his older brother, Charles McFaul.

Jeff was proud of his work driving the logging trucks clearing the land for Wachusett Mountain and later could be found expertly grading a highway for Garrity.  He enjoyed his time with his daughters in his bountiful garden when they were young.  He was grateful to their mom for their time together raising them.  He could cut a mean rug on the dance floor and that is where he met Jeanne who brought out his devilish smile and cared for him until the end.  His hard work afforded him the opportunity to retire to the warmth of Florida where he loved reading and observing the wildlife in his Florida Room.  Destiny’s life will be forever changed by the love and mentoring he fostered over her.  Most will remember Jeff for his ability to recite poetry, we could listen to him for hours.

He was a Mason and Past Master for Hope Lodge Gardner and owner of Pal Pools who installed many pools in Gardner.  A memorial service will be held January 19th at Zellwood United Methodist Church, Zellwood, FL.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Frank & Helen DeScipio Hospice House of Cornerstone Hospice Care.  2445 Lane Park Rd. Tavares, FL 32778.
