Obituary

Jennifer Marie Nolan, age 47, was called home to her Heavenly Father on April 10, 2022.

Jennifer is survived by her parents, James and Colleen Nolan of the Villages, FL; by her brother Peter (Patricia) and her brother Troy (Valerie); by her nieces and nephew Sidney, Alex, Hannah, Rebekah, and Abigail.  She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Hyatt (Troy).

Jennifer was born on January 24, 1975, in Lake Forest, IL.  She was a Valedictorian at Millbrook High School and a Valedictorian at North Carolina State University, both in Raleigh, NC.  She earned a degree in computer science while sharing her musical gifts by playing viola in the Raleigh Civic Symphony.  Jennifer then returned to the Midwest, where she was a National Science Foundation Fellow at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, studying theoretical computer science.  Prior to graduation, she entered the Carmelite Monastery in Des Plaines, Illinois.  After several years, she was released from her temporary vows and moved to The Villages, FL where she worked as a church administrator for the Catholic Diocese of Orlando.

Jennifer particularly treasured her early childhood years, and throughout her life she entertained family and friends with humorous stories of her experiences growing up with older brothers.  She blessed those around her with her friendly and caring nature – and with the gift of music and laughter.  She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

The Mass of Christian Burial is set for May 30th at 2pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5323 E. CR 462, Wildwood, FL 34785.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jennifer’s honor may be made to The Mast Cell Disease Society (www.tmsforacure.com) or your local pro-life Catholic Charity.

This lovely, accomplished and talented young woman will be greatly missed. Be comforted knowing that she is with God.

I'm going to miss you a great deal my dear Friend. I imagine you are already doing all those things we talked about in your new home, an amazing place in Heaven. Find some great places for us to explore together when we are once again reunited, a day of God's choosing. Until then, I will remember laughing with you and learning from you. Much love Jennifer. You are free now.
