Obituary
Jerome “Romy” Carolino, born on April 25, 1930, in Anda, Pangasinan, Philippines, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024 at the age of 94 in Ocala, FL. Romy is survived by his loving wife, Eufemia Cardinal Carolino, his sisters Sefora, Adoracion, and Eureca, and brother Virgilio. He was a devoted father to Dr. Jerome Carolino, Jr. and his wife Marilyn, Elmer Carolino and his wife Susan, and Cyrus Carolino and his wife Alisa.
Romy was a proud grandfather to Jasfer, Nice, Jeremiah, Tyler, Taylor, and Kaitlyn, and a great-grandfather to Kayleigh, Chloe, Kacey, Jeremiah, and Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Juana Carolino, and siblings Eleurefe, Elemile, Hazael, Deciderio, and Flamin.
Romy’s early education was at Anda Central Elementary School and Alaminos High School, both in Pangasinan, Philippines. He furthered his education at Northwestern College in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Romy served with distinction in the Philippine military as a Decorated Combat Special Forces colonel Commander. He volunteered during the Korean War (1950-1953), fighting alongside the US Army and European nations and was honored with a NATO medal for his service.
After his military career, Romy pursued his passion for cooking and served as a Chef at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, NJ for 20 years. He was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church, where he participated actively in community and spiritual activities.
Services to honor Romy’s life and legacy will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 11250 SW 93rd Court Rd. in Ocala, FL 34481. (352)-236-7813.

Romy’s life was marked by his dedication to his family, his country, and his faith, leaving behind a legacy of love and service that will be cherished by all who knew him.
