Bufka, age 78, formerly of Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Lansing Michigan, passed away in Ocala, Florida under Hospice Care with his wife, daughter and son in law by his side. Having left school early, he returned to obtain a Master’s Degree in Sociology and went to work for the County of Muskegon. His work for the county focused on educating the medical field on caring for Alzheimer’s patients. He then retired early to care for his own mother who suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease. He loved riding motorcycles and never missed attending the Muskegon Hill Climb. He shared and passed his love for dirt bike riding down to his 2 sons, while he shared a love of going to the movies with his daughter. He was a sweet and loving man who also loved animals, taking in many strays over the years. He was often mistaken for the country music singer Kenny Rogers. He used to joke that he looked more like Kenny Rogers than Kenny Rogers did.
