Obituary
Jerry Mitchell, 49 years old passed away on Friday, May 27th, 2022, at Daytona Halifax, due to complications from a motorcycle accident that happened on Mothers Day, May 8th 2022. Jerry was such a wonderful father, father in law, son, brother, grandpa and uncle. He was also a great friend and was loved by so many.
He was born on February 22, 1973 in Daytona, FL., to Loretta Vanhorn and Vern Mitchell.
Jerry was a great role model of what it means to be a father. He always showed us the way of life and to be a hard worker. As everyone knew him all he did was work, always go, go, go. He would ever take a break. He always Said ” If you want something in life, you have to work for it, don’t expect handouts”. ” Always work for what you want in life”.
Jerry had 4 boys and 1 girl, and 1 daughter in law. His children were his world. He would do anything and everything for them. Even though he had one girl he didn’t treat her any different. She was like one of the boys. Jerry also had 4 grand kids. All girls. Jerry loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Jerry had a heart of gold and would do for others before he did for himself. He was very strong willed, stubborn, and strong. He had the hardest time telling people no. He just loved everyone and would talk to anyone he didn’t care if he knew you or not. He was a very hard working man who never seemed to stop. If he wasn’t working his full time job he was mowing lawns or scrapping. And if he wasn’t doing any of that he was picking up side jobs. He would always say there is money to be made.
Jerry was my best friend, My everything, My rock. This life is going to be hard without him. But I am grateful for the person he made me into. He showed me strength, how to be strong, how to work on anything, he showed me how to be independent and work for what i wanted in life.
Until we meet again please watch over all of us and guide us the right way in life. Rest In Peace Handsome.
