PETERSON

Jerry Lee “Jerrie”, age 80, of New Smyrna Beach, FL., passed away on August 8, 2017. Jerrie is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Panet “Pete” Peterson; parents, Willie Lee and Ola Mae Christmas; and step-son, Panet Peterson, Jr.  She is survived by daughters, Ramona (James) Aroyan and Cheryl (Vince) Snowden; step-children, Susan Peterson, Thomas(Nancy)Peterson and Joanne Peterson (Mark) Wharton; sisters, Betty( Denmer) Baxter, Bobbie (Richard) Alford, Pat (Richard) Oberholtzer, Peggy Mills and Zeta Christmas; brother, W.L. Christmas; numerous grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Jerrie would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with her beloved husband, family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent.  Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, gardening and jigsaw puzzling to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed.  Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce.  She left detailed instructions for her family to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed.  Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.  Family and friends please join us for a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:30 AM at the Chapel in the Garden, 5123 So. Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange, FL.  Memorials are preferred to your community Vitas Hospice and Palliative Care Services.
