Obituary
Joan “Jo” Hoover, age 79, daughter of Lee and Gladys Turner (deceased) died on May 10, 2016. Upon her death, the world became more lonely and a sadder place for those who knew her.
Jo loved and is survived by her loving husband, Robert Hoover of The Villages, Florida, as well as her two children; Regina Gardner of Ohio and her family, and Curt Montgomery of Ohio and his family, her step children; Guy Hoover of Texas and his family; Joy Pedroni of California and her family; Jill Galloway of , Arizona and her family; and Jane Parks of California and her family; her brother, Jim Turner and his wife Carol of Georgia.
Jo also took great pride in and loved her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jo graduated from Randolph High School in Englewood, Ohio. She was a member of Concord Methodist Church of Englewood, Ohio, and later to The Happy Corner Church of the Brethren in Clayton, Ohio. She also belonged to The VFW in Union and Kettering, Ohio and The American Legion Auxiliary, Post 347, in Lady Lake, Florida.
Jo shared tremendous love and support with her husband during their marriage. She was strongly involved in his career. She was an essential part of their business and was a major contributor to the success of that venture. More than anything else, Jo was a beautiful and loving person who touched the lives of many people in the most positive of ways.
Jo’s physical health may have failed her, but her spirit, good humor, and charm never faltered. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Jo’s life will be celebrated, starting at 2:00PM on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. It will be held in the Julio Igleies Room in the La Hacienda Recreation Center, 1200 Aveida Central, The Villages, Florida, 32159. Phone: 352-753-1716. There are plans for another celebration of Jo’s Life which will be held in Ohio at a future time and place.
