Having just returned from a beautiful celebration of Mrs. Gierke's life, it becomes more clear to me why I have always admired this lady. My thoughts and prayers are with the Gierke family during this very difficult time. Bob King

30 years ago I was blessed when Bobby joined our Eagle Baseball Team, that's when I first met Mr. and Mrs. Gierke (Don and Joan), and then working with Bill and Chip the last decade, I learned that all the Gierke's are very special. To have such outstanding sons, daughters, and grandchildren is the ultimate tribute to a life well lived. I will cherish the memories of every football game, when I would meet Mr. and Mrs. Gierke at the front gate, with a chair ready for Joan, and part the crowd, helping them get seated, so they could so proudly watch their sons coach. May the good graces of God be with her and may God bless all the Gierke family.

Our thoughts and prayers to the entire Gierke family for their loss. I looked forward to, and enjoyed "running into" Mrs. Gierke at the Baldwin Park Publix on a regular basis.. She always had such a great spirit, and positive attitude about everything. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Bob King and the King family
