Joan Margaret Buchanan, 86, passed on Wednesday, September 8^th in Ocala, Florida. Joan was born October 10^th, 1934 in Long Island, New York. Joan had years of experiences in management, communications and secretarial skill that carried her through many vocations in life. Jobs like airline stewardess, nursing, and advertising work took her all over the country. She liked to read, photograph, weave, knit, garden, and walk the dog. In 2004 Joan bought a small fruit, nut and berry farm where many people would come pick berries every summer. She was known by many for her hard work ethic, wisdom, kindness and thought fullness.  She is survived by her son Daniel Buchanan along with various grandchildren, her Sister Charlet and various nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Robert Buchanan, David Buchanan and her sister Lillian. A celebration of life gathering of close friends will be held Saturday, September 25 at noontime in her honor.
