Joan May Shive, 88, beloved wife of John Thomas Shive, passed away on May 6, 2018.  Daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Selby, she was born August 18, 1929 and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Joan and her husband were married for 71 years. They moved from Fort Wayne to Grand Island Florida in 1985. She loved to garden and sew & was dedicated to raising her family.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years; 3 sons, Tom Shive of Oklahoma, Robert Shive of Florida, Jim Shive of Indiana; daughter, Nancy Scheele of Florida; 12 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grand Children. A son Richard Shive pre-deceased her. She will be dearly missed.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to Joan’s memory be sent to the Cornerstone hospice In Tavares, Florida.
