Obituary

Joann Karen Reitz, (81) of Lady Lake, Florida passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019. She departed this life peacefully. Joann was born in Detroit, on March 20, 1938 to Paul and June Christensen. She moved to Florida, where she lived most of her life. Living in Miami and working at the Miami International Airport. Over the years she moved to Leesburg, then on to Orlando where she worked at Universal Studios for many years, meeting so many people and creating amazing life long lasting friendships. Joann loved to celebrate life and each other. She was a devoted Daughter, Wife, Mother and Grandmother with Great great grandchildren. Joann was an only child that leaves behind a legacy that will live on. She was a mother who taught wrong from right and always stood behind her kids. She taught us to be independent and work hard at what we want helping us to become productive and successful human beings. We were completely blessed and will feel the loss of our mother a great deal.

Joann is predeceased by her parents Paul Christensen and June Stevenson, her husband Craig Reitz, Daughter Cheryl Lynn Casburn, grandchildren Jake Anthony and Jennifer Joy.

She is survived by her daughter Belinda Vermillion Rose, son John Vermillion and daughter in law Joy Vermillion, daughter Heather Reitz and son in law William Cribb. Grandchildren Lynn Marie Garcia, Eddie Garcia and wife Emma Garcia, Amanda Casburn Jester and husband Joby Jester, Christopher Casburn and wife Christina LoDato Casburn, Jessica Vermillion, Joseph Vermillion. Great grandchildren Christina Monk and husband Tony Monk Jr., Lexi Clark, Erin Clark and Kyle Clark. Great Great grandchildren Eli Monk, Easton Monk and Emile Casburn Jester.

We will have a celebration of life, Friday July 19 @630pm Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, located at 1350 E. Burleigh Blvd Tavares FL 32788.

Our Mother will then be laid to rest Saturday, July 20 @230pm, Florida Memorial Gardens, located at 5950 US-1 Rockledge FL 32955.

She will be next to our sister, and laid to rest with our Father.
