Obituary

Joanne Marie O’Brien, 74, of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away on April 10, 2023, in Fort Myers, FL at Gulf Coast Hospital at 7:03pm

​Memorial Mass will be held on 12:00pm, Friday, April,14, 2023 at Saint Andrew Catholic Church

Priest celebrant is Fr. Anand Reddy officiating.

Joanne Marie O’Brien was born in Philadelphia, Pa to John & Catherine Berry on 06-23-1948. She went to school in both PA/FL. She graduated from Little Flower High School and Barry University.

She married Edward O’Brien on June 15, 1968, in Warminster, Pa, Joanne was married to Edward for 55 years!

Joanne was a teacher and Insurance Agent and entrepreneur, Joanne built business from the ground up!

Joanne was involved in numerous community activities, beloved Eucharistic minister at Saint Andrew’s and in the choir, lead numerous marriage encounters activities, plus, gave donations/community service activities throughout her time in Southwest Florida!

Her involvement in chamber of commerce and other marketing /networking group’s is endless and gave time where it was needed to community awareness programs, but most of all loved her family reunions and family in general!

Joanne is survived by her spouse Edward O’Brien and her children James O’Brien and James spouse Julians Rego-O’Brien and grandson, Aiden Rego-O’Brien. Joanne’s son Keith O’Brien and Joanne’s daughter Coleen O’Brien!

Including siblings Joseph Berry, Joyce Berry Lavin, Judy Berry Cousart, Jill Berry Coogan.

Including deceased James’s Berry, Janice Berry Romberger, John L. Berry Jr.!

    Joanne, your light will shine here on Earth for all the lives, like mine that you have touched through your faith and love. I will miss you my friend, but know you are in a great space with the Lord doing his work in heaven.
