John Allan Grubbs, 81, of Salt Springs, FL, passed away on December 25, 2014. John was born on June 12, 1933 in Collinsville, OK. He was a business owner and salesman in the carpet industry. John served his country in the US Navy in the Korean War. He moved to the area 40 years ago from Louisiana. John was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salt Springs, the Gideon INternational Association, the Republican Party Committee, the Ft. McCoy past President of the alumni association, and the association of Academy of Police Trianing. John is survived by his wife, Linda, children, John Allan Grubbs, Jr., James Chapman Grubbs, Sara Gail Drury, Clinton Allan Grubbs, step children, Robert Glen Ferguson, Bruce David Ferguson, Roger William Ferguson, sisters, Gail Thompson and Jamie Hux, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Myron Grubbs. John will be missed by many family and friends.
