John Benjamin Terrell passed away in his home on Thursday, April 13, 2022 at the age of 76.

Known to most as “Bennie” or “Ben,” he was a lifelong resident of Ocala, Florida. The story has been told that when he was born on March 8th, 1946, he was so small that he fit into a cigar box. His loving parents were Jones Benjamin Terrell and Irma (de Muro) Terrell. He was their only child and spent lots of time with his cousins growing up in the Highlands in Ocala. Bennie graduated from Ocala High School in 1964.

He was drafted into the army & proudly served his country as an MP in Vietnam from 1967-69. He felt lucky to have found a group of men in the VA that were his new brothers and spent recent years mending the legacy of his time in the service.

He spent much of his life working in construction and was known for being able to fix anything and was helpful to all…he never met a stranger and would stop everything to lend a hand. He loved to fish, discover treasures at flea markets, collect Coca Cola memorabilia and spend time with his family.

Ben leaves behind his loving daughter, Tiffany Terrell Romias, son-in-law, Shawn Romias and grandchildren, Malia & Keanu.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Carol Terrell. He also leaves behind his loving step children, Diane & Steve Sharp, Debbie & Curt Garcia and Ralph Langone Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer, Steve, Michelle & Jason; and 2 great-grandchildren, Laney & Donavon.
