DEYBER

We are sorry to announce that John Stuart (Dick) Deyber, 81, passed away unexpectedly January 1st at his home in Port Orange, Florida.  Dick was born in Greenwich, CT to the late Richard and Bessie Turanec Deyber.  He is a 1955 graduate of Greenwich High School, and a 1960 graduate of Purdue University, with degrees in Engineering.  Dick was employed by Perkin Elmer in Norwalk, CT from 1960 until retirement in 1996.  During his years in Perkin Elmer he travelled to Europe extensively, and moved his family to California and back several times. 

Dick and Karin Iversen were married from 1961 until her death in 2012.  He is survived by his daughters Kari Ann (Robert Santana) of Port Orange and Kristi Elizabeth (Doug Atkins) of Lafayette, IN., and cousin Jeannie Pietrzak of Greenwich, CT.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 19th, 1:00 pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 485 Turnbull Bay Road, New Smyrna Beach, FL. 32168. There will be a reception at the church following the service.  Donations in his name can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.

    Dick and I worked together at Perkin Elmer for many years. We both had a good time playing softball for the engineering department for several years. He did an excellent job for Perkin Elmer in Norwalk as well as in Garden Grove, CA.
    Dick, Otto and I also enjoyed many a drink at the bar next to Caldor's across the street in Norwalk.

    My parents best friends and neighbors.  Dick and Ginny Eckhardt. They are all together again!!! (Dick passed 6 months after my mom, then Ginny passed a few months later. 2012 was a really tough year for my Dad!!!!
