Obituary

John P. (Recon) Gariano, of Ocala passed away on Friday January 8th, 2015 at the age 73. He was born July 18th, 1942 in Bronx, New York. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1962 where his specialty was 0331 Machine Gunner. He was sent to Viet Nam before the war was at its peak in 1963. After his service he worked and retired from Napa Auto Parts. Utmost He was a family man and an honored husband. He always placed the needs of his family before his own and, instilled strong family values in his daughters and granddaughters.He was an active member of the Patriot Guard Riders and several Military Support groups. His passion was being a beacon of support for families of Veterans, Servicemen and women, firefighters and law enforcement. He displayed a high form of patriotism for his country.Survivors are: wife, Carol, two daughters Nicole (Greg) and Christy, and his sister Rosemarie Arduino (Frank and Lisa) Harrison New York and brother Anthony Gariano (Anthony Jr.) of San Diego California and 3 grandchildren Isabella, Kayla and Emma. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 14th at 2pm at the Baldwin Brothers funeral home, 954 E Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala FL with Chaplin Ernie Tucker officiating.     Mr. Gariano I did not know you personally sir. But you fought for our countries freedom and are one of the wonderful reasons I can sit and read to my children at night. God replaced your eagle wings with angel wings thank you sir for all you've done.
