Obituary

John Hoisington passed away on November 25, 2021. He was 88. Born in Columbus Ohio his family moved to Oronoco, MN when he was 6 months old. John attended Pine Island High School in Ornoco and graduated in 1950. He married Veirlyn Stanz from Altura, MN in 1953 and they had 4 children Marck who passed away in 1985, Carmen Wolfe living in Tullahoma, TN, Scott Hoisington in Mobile AL, and Michael Hoisington in Apple Valley, MN. He was also a grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. John is now reunited with his wife Veirlyn who she passed in 2010.

John was a proud US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. He worked at the Mayo Clinic. He also had a home improvement business in Rochester until 1980. In 1980 John and Veirlyn moved to Fort Myers, FL and they went into the home watch business, John’s final job was working for AMS in Fort Myers for 24 years until his retirement at the age of 78. He enjoyed living at the Holiday Condominiums for his entire time in Florida from 1981 until his passing.

The family wishes to thank everyone that has helped and supported them during this difficult time, and invites them to a celebration of John’s life at the Holiday Condominiums, 16410 San Carlos Blvd. Fort Myers, FL 33908 Saturday, December 4, 2021  from 10 AM – 12 PM Anyone who wishes to send flowers are asked to have them delivered on Friday, before 3 PM to the address above.
