Obituary

John “Jack” Marvin Stewart, age 86, died of complications from a stroke on January 22, 2022 in Homosassa Springs, Florida.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen Stewart, of fifteen years; his son John A Stewart, his daughter Tracy Stewart-Flamenbaum and his sister Anna Jeager. He is preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Losi-Stewart.

He was born on October, 25 1935 in Oceanside, New York, to parents Olive Stewart and Mary Doran. He was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired from the New York State Corrections Department as a Watch Commander in 1998.
Jack was a great family man and a loving father. He had a great sense of humor and was universally like by everyone who met him. Always the life of the party, he had a magnetic personality.

He was a social, active man who was involved in civic organizations such as the Elks Club, VFW, and American Legion. He enjoyed sports and was a voracious reader. His family and friends will always remember him for his love of life. He made a positive impact on everyone he met.

A celebration of life is scheduled on February 20, 2022 at 4 PM at the Elks Lodge in Homosassa Springs FL. A funeral service is scheduled for February 21, 2022 at 10 AM at St Bushnell National Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jack’s life. The family does not desire donation or flowers.
