Obituary
John “Jack” Robert DeStefano, age 83, died of COPD, heart disease on February 28th, 2021 in Ocala, Florida.
John is survived by his daughter, Robin (Rick) Floyd of Boston, MA; his son, Frank (Laura), of Stroudsburg, PA; and his son, Robert, daughter Shelly DeStefano; as well as eleven grandchildren. John is also survived by a brother, Dennis (Peggy) DeStefano of Ocala, FL. He was preceded in death by sons, Michael, Daniel, as well as a daughter Debbie.
John’s brother, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family members will greatly miss him and his flashy wit. We celebrate his 82 years of a full life even as we grief his passing.
John was born on November 11th, 1938 in Norristown, PA, to parents John & Anne (Dunlop). He graduated from Norristown High School. After graduation he enlisted in the Navy in 1956 as was a flight line mechanic. John was a social, active man who was deeply involved in photography for most of his life. He also enjoyed playing darts, shooting pool, and archery. His family and friends will always remember him as a having a sense of humor and they would call him handsome and witty.
Cremation arrangements are being handled with Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to Hospice of Marion County.
