Obituary
John “Jake” Ferrin, 80, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on October 21, 2023. He was born to parents Arthur and Mary Ferrin on January 15, 1943 in Manchester, New Hampshire.
He was married to the love of his life Carol Ferrin, who survives him. Jake is also survived by his son Danny, daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Bobby, five granddaughters, and one brother.
He worked for Manchester Mental Health and the Youth Development Center in New Hampshire, and also honorably served his country in the U.S. Army before retiring and moving to Florida.
Besides his love of fishing, canoeing, and walking, Jake was known for his wisdom, generosity, and caring. He was utterly devoted to his wife, family, and friends. Jake was always willing to listen and help, and would inevitably bring warmth and light to where it had been gloomy. He was a master story and joke teller, and as Carol would say, “He’s got a million of ‘em.” Jake was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace, Dad.
