John James DiMercurio was a father of five, grandfather of four, a World War II naval veteran, and the creator and owner of Johnny’s Farm Market. He was a gregarious man who loved children and people of all ages. He believed in physical fitness and a friendly smile. After more than two decades of being cared for by his son John in Orlando, Florida - John James DiMercurio passed peacefully among loved ones on June 20, 2014.
He was born March 2, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was the youngest son of Prudence LoGrosso (Sicily) and Salvatore Marco DiMercurio (Terrasini, Sicily). He lost his sisters Ann, Grace, Frances and Rose and his brothers Joe and Bill. He lost his daughter Prudence (DiMercurio, Schneider) Dykstra on July 21, 2011. He is survived by his children Margaret (DiMercurio, Brock) Bohrman, Marco DiMercurio, Dr. Mary (DiMercurio) Hinesly, John James DiMercurio and his grandchildren Laura Brock, Kelly Brock, Brittany Schneider and John James DiMercurio III as well as his sisters Katherine Mohr and Rose Klimkewicz.
Memorial services will be held at noon, July 19, 2014 at New Vision Community Church, 3927 W Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka, FL 32712 [(407) 886-3619]
