Obituary
John J. Kolibab, 76 of Summerfield, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 under the care of hospice after a valiant three-year struggle with cancer.
John grew up on Cleveland’s West Side. He attended Baldwin Wallace, the first college graduate in his family. John worked 38 years as a Steel Supervisor and retired comfortably to Ocala Florida because of his and wife’s love of horses. Strong and thoughtful with an amazing sense of humor, John didn’t say much but when he spoke he almost always made everyone laugh out loud. He spent most of his last 15 years living the good life and especially enjoyed cruising with his soulmate and wife of 54 years, Judith Kolibab.
He is survived by Judith; daughter Kelly Berg (Alex); son John V. Kolibab (Julia); sister Janet Kenny; and four loving grandchildren, Alizah, John M., Nathan and Brigitte.
He is preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Jack; and brother Dennis.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church at a date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stand Up 2 Cancer, https://standuptocancer.org/.
