Obituary
John Ray Maki, 82, of Clermont, Florida, passed away on December 31, 2025. He was born on March 3, 1943, in Quincy, Massachusetts, and lived most of his life in South Weymouth, Massachusetts.
John was predeceased by his parents, Reino and Mary Maki; his late wife, Christine Maki; and his former wife, Elaine.
He was a proud member of Local 12 Plumbers Union for 55 years and a past member of UKTS in Pembroke, Massachusetts, for many years. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and following NASCAR, activities that brought him great joy throughout his life.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Irene Bonanno; his son, John D. Maki, and his wife, Sandra Maki; his daughter, Sherry Maki, and her fiancé, Robert McGovern; and his stepdaughter, Annmarie, her husband Ed Murphy, and their children, Jordan and Kirsten. He was a devoted grandfather to David Maki, Kayla Maki, Corey Puopolo, April Puopolo, Joelle Puopolo, and Brooke Silva, and a beloved great-grandfather to Amber Silva.
John will be remembered for his dedication, hard work, and the love and memories he shared with his family and friends.
