Obituary

John Michael Scheller, 62,  of Ft Myers, FL / Panama, NY passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021, due to complications of a stroke.  John proudly offered his organs, eyes and tissue upon death, so that he might bring hope and continued life to others in need.

John was predeceased by his father, Romaine Scheller and mother, Dorothy Scheller of Panama, NY  He is survived by his sister Carol Andersen (Richard) of Lititz, PA and brother Jerry Scheller (Lori) of Linden, MI.  John was never married and had no children (that we know of….)

John has been a resident of Florida for the past 30 years.  He was employed at America’s Best Value Inn of Ft Myers for the past 22 years, as a Manager.

John was a man of few words.  He enjoyed the Florida weather, his job, and classic TV shows.  He never turned down an invitation for a good buffet meal or a game of billiards.  He was loved by all that knew him, he will be sorely missed.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of John, to Life Link of Florida.  www.lifelinkfoundation.org

Rest well my friend. You were too young to go. I too have fond memories of driving Buicks, drinking beer and shooting pool, as well as playing ping pong in the basement. We got bored with our usual play and decided we'd try playing left handed. After several sessions we actually played quite well and I still can today. None of that would have happed but for you and your playful attitude. My most sincere condolences to, Jerry , Lori, Dick and Carol.

We will miss you! We had a lot of fun times shooting pool in your parents basement, driving around in the Wildcat an then the “Duce and a quarter”, bar hopping Jamestown, the crazy times at Alfred State University. I can remember you running the pool table all night long and never having to buy a beer! We will never forget you. Tom Johnson Allen, TX
