Obituary

John Milton Furman Sr., 73, of Eustis, FL, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017. John was born January 31, 1944 in Port Jefferson, NY. His adoptive parents were Milton and Evelyn Furman. He grew up in Lake Grove, New York.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Joann; son, John Jr. (Florida); grandson, Kyle (Arizona); and great-grandson Isaiah Daniel (Arizona); brother, David (Thailand); sister, Isabelle (South Carolina); sister, Edith (New York); aunt, Beulah (New York); and 13 nieces and nephews.

John was of the Baptist faith. He loved God and his family. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, planes, boats, nature, kids, and animals. John’s other hobbies included trap and skeet shooting and reading history.

John owned his own trucking company for many years and later became a car salesman. In his retirement years he worked as a handyman.

John was a devoted and loved husband, father and friend. He will truly be missed by all.

    To my good friend John,
    Since the day I met you, I have always felt you would be there for me. Actually until now you always have been. I will never forget the times you, Joanne and I spent together.The two of you have been like brother and sister to me. So glad God put us into each others lives.

    My brother John worked hard his whole life and was always true to his friends and loved by his extended family and friends. He is now in God's care and relieved from the suffering of his final days. He is finally re-united with Mom and Dad. Love you John. Dave and Lin
