Obituary

John Harvey Munster was born July 19, 1943 in Kittinning, PA to the late Kenneth and Hearldine Munster.  He is survived by his wife, Katherine (Cape Coral, FL) , brother Andrew (Pittsburgh, PA), son Jeffrey (Mountville, PA), daughter Dennine Leeson (Macedon, NY), daughter Christina, (Muncy, PA), step-children Gary (Chip) Palmer, (Ridgeway, WI), Andrew Palmer (Lake Mills, WI) and Lauran Kobe (Lakewood Ranch, FL), and his beloved Standard Poodle, Lily.  He has eight grandchildren, Kelsey Munster, Delaney, Bradford, and Ryan Leeson, Kristen and Drew Palmer (Ridgeway, WI), and Katie and Brooke Palmer (Lake Mills, WI),    John devoted his life and career to the life sciences and animal research, and received numerous accolades for his accomplishments and years of service. He was very loved by all.

In lieu of flowers, he would like donations to be made to UNICEF For Puerto Rico, and had a love for the Caribbean islands and their people.

A life celebration will be held  at the Lancaster Leiderkranz German-American Club, 722 S. Chiques Rd, Manheim, PA 17545, on November 12, from 2:00 -6:00..

    I worked with John for many years at Hazleton Research, Covance. He was a joy to be around. He always had a sense of humor. Rest in Peace John and my condolences to the Kathy and the Munster family.

    "Who's my Daddy", John. He was always looking out for me. We had lots of laughs with Andy and friends. He always lit up the table with his toasts and jokes. You will be missed. This world lost a good soul. Heaven is toasting to his arrival. Love yah always!!!
