John R Schif, 77, Edgewater FL died, Thursday, June 30, 2011. He was born in Elgin, Illinois.
John enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and cooking. He was a Life Member of BPOElks Lodge 1557 locally and in Elgin, IL. His family remembers him as a charitable person.
John served our nation in the US Marine Corps. He served in Korea in the First Marine Division in the Chosin Reservoir. He retired from Kennedy Space Center as a Quality Control Inspector.
He leaves to cherish in memory his wife of 33 years Ann, children Scott and Linda Schif, Becky and Roger Courtemanche, Sherry and Matt Hopson, siblings Dick and Marilyn Schif, Paul and Carol Schif, Mary Lou and Don Duensing, in-laws Marian Yelvington, Don and Carroll North, Tommy North, Wayne and Linda Yelvington, Conway and Merrie Yelvington, 11 grandchildren and many loving nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Bertha Schif and brother-in-law Tommy North.

Life Celebration will be 3:30PM Saturday, July 9 at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach. Family has requested dress attire to be casual to Celebrate his Life.
