Obituary
John T. Grantham, age 78 passed away Thursday June 2, 2022. John was a resident of Venice, FL for the past twenty years, retiring from the State of Michigan. After retirement John kept busy volunteering at Ronald McDonald House of Michigan and Instride of Florida. John loved to visit and explore all Florida had to offer.
John enjoyed visiting museums, aquariums, botanic gardens, Busch Gardens, Sea World, and most of all various restaurant cuisines.
John leaves to cherish his memory wife Jocelyn Grantham, two daughters Justine Grantham-Hoffa and Susan Grantham; Grandchildren; Angela Hoffa-Hernandez, Charles Hoffa Jr., Elizabeth Grantham-Tinker; 9 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Devoted Sister; Elizabeth Roach; Extended family; Pina, Shanesa, and Dakari Harris; Jamila, Maliyah, Madilyn, and Mylan Adams; Good friend and best man John McElwee; Many nieces, nephews, and residents of Harbor Lights Cooperative. John was preceded in death by two brothers and sister in law; Robert Grantham & Norman (Ruth) Elliott; Brother In-law Ronald Roach; Sister Alice Grantham. From the Grantham, Harris and Adams families, we would like to thank everyone for the love and support shown and demonstrated to us during this difficult time. We appreciate the numerous calls, visits, texts, encouraging scriptures, cards, food, flowers and gifts we have received from friends and relatives. Most of all, we look forward to seeing John again in “a new world where righteousness is to dwell.” 2Peter 3:13
A celebration of life dinner will held Thursday June 30, 2022 at 3:00pm at the Harbor Lights Cooperative community center.
I’m so sorry for your loss. May you find peace in the days to come with all the loving thoughts that surround you. I’m certain that John had a good heart, otherwise you wouldn’t have fallen in love and married him.
I remember how he was always so willing to help me with the things I needed. As well as sacrificing his time to allow you to help me too. I look forward to seeing him in the resurrection free of the depression and pain that was so difficult for him.
Please stay focused on the good times in the past with John and those yet to come with him in God’s promised paradise.

I am just saddened to hear about John's passing. My sincere condolences to you and the rest of the family. May the good days continue to sustain you until our hope is a reality. Almighty God has promised a relief to all the challenges we are facing. We can have full confidence in that promise. What a wonderful time that will be.
