John Earl Tilkins August 2,1941- September 14,2021
John Earl Tilkins Also known as” Jack Tilkins” of Port Orange, Florida passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on September 14, 2021. He was 80 years old.
He was predeceased by his loving daughter, Kathryn (Tilkins) Darling on March 6, 1987.
John was born on August 2, 1941, to the late Florence (Jenny) Brown Tilkins in Richland, New York. He enlisted in the United States Navy after graduation and served 4 years being discharged in 1964. He spent more than 30 years in manufacturing/management at Chrysler Corporation/ New Process Gear in East Syracuse, New York before retirement in 1997 as a Chrysler Executive in charge of the transfer case division.
John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Elaine (Lloyd) Tilkins. He is also survived by his Children, Julie (Tilkins) & Phillip Golden of Port Orange, Florida.

Jackie (Tilkins) & William Smith of Liverpool, NY.
Jennifer (Tilkins) & Robert Wells of Central Square, NY.
Sarah (Darling) & Nick Vitale of Palm Coast, FL.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren as well as a large extended family with several nieces and nephews.
John loved spending time with his family, watching old movies, telling stories, working in his yard/gardens, and taking his dog Molly on walks every day. He enjoyed playing cards and playing Yahtzee.
He Will Be Greatly Missed and Forever in Our Hearts!
As per Johns wishes there will be no calling hours and burial will be in Richland, New York his hometown at a later date.
I had the honor to be your granddaughter.
I could only hope to be half of the whole that you were.
Can only hold you in a picture frame.
You held nothin' back, gave everything.
You loved me that way.
I miss you!
