Obituary
On November 11, 2016 “Veterans Day” John W. (Chip) Henson went to sleep and succumbed to complications from poor health. Chip was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and we are forever proud & grateful for that. He is now with his beloved wife Maryann and at peace. He is where he wants to be, and we find solace in that thought. Chip, was loving, funny, proud, a very good husband, a loving son and he was a great friend to many people. Chip is survived by two sisters, Patsy Dale Henson and Donna Ann Ingram Stewart, and her son his nephew Nicholas Wayne Ingram. Chip was known for his big heart, exuberant personality, love of music and talent as an electronics technician, he was a national award winning audio installer. His friends considered him to be a “great guy” and his family considered him to be a bright light in their lives.
Chip will be cremated and there is no service scheduled at this time. His family is planning a gathering of friends soon possibly to be held in Sebring Florida where most of his friends are from and reside.
The family would like very much that donations be made to any Veterans organization of your choice, or any random act of kindness in Chip’s honor.

We had some great time's growing up together. We were part family. The motorcycle brothers that terrorized the Streets of Highlands County. As we grew up, like many of great friends times slept away while we started a family. Every time we saw a Charles Chips can or advertising. Laurie and I would say there's Charles Chip. Only a few will know how that name came about. We sure are going to miss you; however, you will not be forgotten. Watch over your sisters and say hi to Mom and Dad for me. Love Charlie and Laurie
