Obituary

John “Jack” Whealan, 70, passed away on Friday, 11/27/15 in his home in The Villages with his wife Ann by his side.

Jack was born on 8/23/45 to parents Marguerite and Paul in Somerville, MA where he grew up with siblings Buddy, Kevin, and Leah. Jack attended Somerville High School where he met his sweetheart, Joan Grasso. The two were married on 9/16/63. They enjoyed 32 happy years and 3 children together before Joan passed away in 1995. Daughter Colleen Raver and husband Mikel; son John Whealan Jr. and wife Suzanne; and daughter Kellie Whealan survive him.

In the years that followed, Jack met Ann Crawford and the 2 fell in love.  They married on 2/7/97 and merged their 2 families; introducing new children: Joy Thomas and husband Howard; Kelly Greenough; Jimmy Moore, and Maryellen Moore. Suddenly Jack went from having 3 children and 9 grandchildren, to seven children; fourteen grandchildren; and even two great grandsons. Every last one of these people loved him dearly. His grandchildren include: John Whealan III; Kayla Perry; Jessica Raver; Nichole Raver; Katelyn Raver; Miranda Whealan; Sophia West; Jade’a West; Jacklyn Whealan; Kasey Thomas; Kori Thomas; Allison Greenough, Nicole Greenough, and Morgan Greenough; 2 great grandchildren: Sean Rench and Liam Rench.
