Obituary
John H. Whytal, age 74, of New Smyrna Beach and proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away on July 29, 2023.
John was born on December 23, 1948 in Mineola, New York to the late Charles and Julia Whytal. John resided in Brooklyn, New York. After finishing high school, John went on to join the military in 1967. While in the military, John was stationed in Canada where he met his wife, Brenda Whytal. John served 22 years in the United States Air Force and finished his career through civil service serving as Surgical Services Administrator at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
While John enjoyed traveling the world in the military and meeting new people everywhere he went, after his retirement he took joy in spending time with his family and friends, relaxing on the beach, fishing and his morning walks. John’s kind heartedness, smile and humor touched the hearts of those who were lucky enough to cross his path.
