Josef Jon Manganaro (32), of Daytona Beach, Florida went home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2019 unexpectedly after a life-long battle of uncontrolled diabetes.  Josef was born on October 12, 1986 in Palm Beach, Florida to George Manganaro and Teresa Price.

Josef was a vivacious person from conception to the date of his death.  He was constantly moving, ahead of his time on most things.  He was very independent, challenging himself and boundaries on all aspects of life.  He was interested in sports and loved the New Orleans Saints.  He was a NASCAR enthusiast and an avid fan of Jimmy Johnson.  Josef’s interest in music was vast as the lyrics were more important than the beat.  Josef was a natural in the kitchen.  He was studying all areas of restaurant and restaurant management underneath of his Father and Stepmother in their four restaurants in Kentucky.  It was there that Josef decided to come home to Florida to regain custody of his two beautiful children, Ashton Manganaro and Kylie Shilling.  Family is the most important factor in Josef’s life.  Josef loved very deeply.  If you made into Josef’s heart, you were there forever.  He was committed to his lifelong friends and wanted nothing more than to have a family.

Josef is survived by his first born son, Ashton Manganaro, his daughter, Kylie Shilling, his father, George Manganaro, his step mother, Joan Manganaro, his mother, Teresa Manganaro, Steven Laks, his brother, Benjamin Manganaro, his grandfather and grandmother, George and Nellie Nagel, his aunt, Janet Hahn, his cousin, Brody Hahn, and Joe’s partner, Kendra Gordon.

Josef is deeply missed, however, Heaven is a better place with Josef in it. Josef will live on within our hearts by his infectious spirit and the deep love he gave to all his friends and family.

A private service for Josef will be held at a later time.
