Obituary

After a prolonged illness, Joseph Edward Aul lost his battle with cancer on December 15, 2021. Joe was born January 13, 1955 in New York. He was the firstborn child of Joseph and Edith Aul and the eldest of their four children, subsequently followed by John, Carol, and Elizabeth. Joe was raised on Long Island, where in 1973 he graduated from Wantagh High School. After graduating, Joe embarked on his lifelong trade, quickly gaining the rank of Master Plumber. In 1982, Joe became a father for the first time and was ultimately blessed with two children: his son, Christopher J. Aul, and his daughter, Jennifer Aul, who was born in 1988. Upon moving to Orlando in 1989, Joe eventually co-founded All Pro Plumbing Services, retiring in 2018.

As both an active member of the University Club and a supporter of the Costal Conservation Association, Joe created and maintained many wonderful friendships within the Orlando community. He attended many charitable fundraisers, generously supporting efforts to conserve and enhance marine resources in Florida. He loved to spend time outdoors enjoying the Florida weather, often golfing with friends. Traveling to places such as Costa Rica and Cuba, Joe was an avid sport fisherman, an inshore angler and also participated in many finishing tournaments. Displaying an exceptional talent around the kitchen, he likewise delighted in creating and preparing exotic dishes, often cooking and entertaining for friends and family.

Joe is survived by his brother John Aul, sisters Carol Smith and Elizabeth Bunch, son Christopher J. Aul, daughter Jennifer Aul, nieces Erica Beers and Amanda Daly, and nephews John Beers, James Daly, Daniel Daly, and Dylan Bunch.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at the University Club of Orlando on Thursday, January 13, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00pm, while his remains will be interred at his family plot during a private family service at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Maryland. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to one of the organizations Joe supported.
