Obituary
Joseph F. Brunner of Cape Coral, FL, 67, passed away at home on September 14, 2022, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Trenton, NJ and had been a resident of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, before moving to Florida last year.
Joe graduated from St. Anthony’s High School in 1973. After high school, Joe served in the United States Navy and upon his return went on to become a Police Officer in Trenton, NJ, before retiring as a Lieutenant in 2007.
Joe loved riding his motorcycle and participating in the events with his Nam Knights Motor Club family and friends. He was a great cook and always wanted people to enjoy themselves with good food and lots of laughter; he was always a great host. Joe loved his dogs, the outdoors, boating and fishing.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph E. Brunner and Wilhelmina Somogyi Brunner; brother, Raymond Brunner, and sisters; Eleanor Barrett and Irene Hiles.
His survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Donna L. Brunner (nee Onorati); son, Joseph G. Brunner, Sr. (and girlfriend, Adrienne); daughter, Jennifer Purnell (and husband, Eric); sister, Rowena Wilson (and husband Charles, now deceased); and his five grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Hope Hospice for their care and compassion.
A private service was held on Monday, September 19, 2022.
Upon return to New Jersey, a memorial service will be held.
