Obituary

Joseph S. Kowalski, 66, a resident of Fort Myers since 2004, formerly of Pleasantville, New York passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Mineola, New York on August 31, 1952 to Joseph L. Kowalski and Marjorie Hackett, now deceased.

Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years Daniella; loving son, Joseph Santino; siblings, Robert J. Kowalski (Budapest), Nancy Kowalski (Boynton Beach), Joanne Kowalski (Boynton), preceded in death by his sister Marjorie Kowalski. Joe leaves behind many nieces, nephews and extended family who dearly loved him.

Joe was a true Patriot and loved his Country. He had a deep passion for music, animals, friends and family. Thankfully Joe was able to retire early from Verizon after 28 years to raise his son, travel on our  boat and to simply enjoy living in Paradise.  Joe was a brilliant musician and his love of music afforded him the opportunity to create Circle Music. His music brought joy to thousands of people. He passed this love of music on to Joseph Santino who will carry on his legacy.

“TO THE MAN THAT SHOWED ME ALL THAT LIFE HAS TO OFFER AND IGNITED ALL OF MY DEEPEST PASSIONS WITH ENTHUSIASM; REST EASY DAD ~ JSK “

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers consider a donation to the ASPCA or an animal rescue of your choice.

Joe was my longest time friend and my musical mentor, starting from our days at Ortung Piano in the late 70's. As much as you'll be missed, your influence on many will persist. You were a talented and benevolent soul old friend.

Very saddened to learn about Joe's passing. I also played many years with Joe in the Liquid Crystal band in the Hudson Valley in NY. A great musician with a wonderful personality. He will be greatly missed.

This is a shocker. Jo and I worked together for years in a group called "liquid Crystal" in Dutchess County N.Y.. I've been in Ca for over 30 years and lost track of Joe. Ironically I now reside in Naples, Fl, having moved there to repair my IRMA damaged house. Joe and I would've had many good memories to share!

My condolences and best wishes to all of his family !

I wish I would have made my way to your piano bench to sing. I only met you once Joe, so I suppose the timing was just not right. May you rest easy in the arms of the angel, may you find some comfort there.

Joe Kowalski is, was and always will be a good man in my eyes.
I always admired how he adored my mom & dad and was such an amazing father to Joseph.
If you listen to the melodies you'll find the genius of his soul.
In my heart I am so deeply saddened by this loss.
An honest man's the noblest work of God.
    Welcome home my friend.

Rest In Peace Joe. You will always be remembered for your love for and pride in your son. Your joy in sharing his accomplishments was infectious. You passed on your talent and love of music to Joseph and he will carry that gift forward and share someday with his children. You can be proud of that legacy. Rest easy
