Obituary
Joseph Damien Mitchell 68 of Palm Coast, FL passed away at his home on March 11, 2019. He was born on March 1, 1951 to the late Catherine McGowan and Joseph E. Mitchell in Philadelphia, PA. He leaves behind two daughters Susan Traband (Gene) of Honey Brook, PA and Laurie Traband (Mike) of Honey Brook, Pa. He (Papa Joe) also leaves behind his loving grandchildren Joey Henderson, Amanda Henderson, Brooke Mitchell, Brittany Traband, Ashley Traband, Bridgette Traband and Abigail Traband. Joe is also survived by his sister Candance Matson of Sea Isle City, NJ formerly of Rose Tree, Media. Also survived by his first wife and mother of his children Sharon Wheeler Newton. He was blessed to have had so many special aunts to look over him while grieving the loss of his beloved mother at such a young age. Joe worked as a carpet installer for many years. He enjoyed playing golf and the ocean. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus, Springfield, PA. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Joe was an avid Eagles fan and was so happy when they won the Super Bowl. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
