My name is Tricia Bari=Dougherty and I am Joe's first cousin. Joe's mother, Cass, and my mother, Marge, were sisters. Joe was more like a brother and friend than a cousin when we were growing up. I am 10 months younger than he. He was such a sweet, kind and very funny boy. He was always SO kind to me. When his beloved mother passed away when he was only 14 years he was sent to live with our Aunt Nancy and her husband, Bob. He lived with them for one year. He was home-sick so he came to live with us which I was thrilled about. He was so much fun and thoughtful to live with. He was the brother I always wanted but didn't have. I will always cherish my memories of Joe. He'll always have a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten. He is with his wonderful mother now. I am so sorry for his children, grandchildren, sister, relatives and friends for their tragic loss. One day we will all be together. Until we meet again my dear cousin. God bless you and your loved ones.
