Obituary
Joseph Robert Weyhrauch, 66, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022.
He was born on September 9, 1956 in Manhattan, New York and was raised in the Marble Hill neighborhood in the Bronx, New York.
Joseph attended grammar school at Saint Johns Catholic School in the Bronx. He later went on to follow in his father’s footsteps and worked in manufacturing as a tool and die maker. After moving to Florida, he owned his own landscaping business and was known as “Tractor Joe.”
As a dad, he was always there for his kids when they needed him the most; full of love, positive vibes and beautiful energy. Always willing to jump in and lend a hand. No project or task was too big. Well… except that one tree he cut down in the yard in Coral Springs. He was just an all around happy go lucky man with many talents. He was happy to be alive and he lived every day to its fullest. It didn’t matter if he had everything or nothing at all, he was always on an adventure with a big ole smile on his face.
Joseph enjoyed cooking, fishing, kayaking, bike riding, shell searching and taking long walks on the beach with his loved ones. He was in his happy place as a beach bum/pirate with his mermaid.
He was an amazing guitarist, songwriter and musician who loved playing music from the 70s. Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd and his latest mastery, Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin, were some of his favorites.
Joseph is predeceased by his father, Ted Weyhrauch, Sr., and mother, Eileen Ridout Weyhrauch.
He is survived by his loving fiance, Nanci Keel Taggart, daughter, Cheryl Weyhrauch (Evelyn Marca), son, Joe Weyhrauch, grandsons, Sawyer Marcha, Jep Weyhrauch, siblings Ted Weyhrauch, Mike Weyhrauch, Dan Weyhrauch, Ed Weyhrauch, Rob Weyhrauch and many extended family members and friends.
Taken from us too soon, but always in our hearts.
Rest in eternal peace Joseph
