Joseph “Joe” Warren Williamson was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He left this world after a courageous battle with CoPD on October 2, 2021 at the age of 80.
He was born to Joseph and Frances Williamson on April 22, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA. He
attended Lincoln High School and upon graduation served in the US Navy. Joe earned a BS
from Rider University. He retired from Martin Marietta where he worked as a Manufacturing
Engineer Supervisor, Aerospace.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Frances Williamson and his sister Barbara
Nacci. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Carol (Callahan) Williamson of Orlando, FL, his
children, Donna Fumo of Charlotte, NC, Theresa (Ricky) Starnes of Waxhaw, NC, Michael
(Michelle) Williamson of Mt. Dora, FL, Thomas (Linda) Williamson of Waxhaw, NC, Christine
(Rob) Pierce of Cookeville, TN, Janice (Pete) Stern of Orlando, FL, Drs. Joanne (Mike) Spencer
of Greensboro, NC, and Jill (John) DeSalva of Redding, CT. His grandchildren Vincent,
Matthew, and Katie Fumo, Michelle (Eric) Owen, Dr. Jessica (Chris) Cooper, Bradley
Williamson, Stephanie, Christopher, and Nicholas Williamson, Brian (Jenna) Pierce, Courtney
Pierce, David (Anna) Pierce, Alenis (Jeremiah) Staggs, Dr. Sarah Stern (Dr. Dustin Tracy), Emily
Stern, Christopher, Sean, and Kelly Spencer, Courtney (Sam) McCool, Anthony (Julia) DeSalva,
Daniel (Dr. Emily) DeSalva, and Carol (Roger) Palanzo and eleven great grandchildren. He is
also survived by his sisters Delores Ney and Betty (Allan) Ford both of Philadelphia, PA.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joe’s memory to the American Lung Association or
DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust.
A service will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S. Highway 1, Mims, FL
32754, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 12:30 PM
