Josephine T. Walaszewski, 91, formerly of Whitesboro, NY, died at her home in Edgewater, FL (date)She was born on April 7, 1922 in Utica, NY, and was the daughter of Thomas and Anna Wojtanowski.
She attended Utica schools and was a member of Holy Trinity Church. On December 2, 1944, she united in marriage with Henry (Hank) Walaszewski. Josephine was employed at General Electric
Company retiring after 30 years of service. She also was a member of the New York Mills VFW Post 739, Women's Auxiliary.
Josephine and her husband, Henry, moved to Edgewater, FL in 1984. There she was a member of the Polish American Pulaski Club of Daytona Beach, where she enjoyed dancing with her husband and socializing with her many friends. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends, games of chance and traveling, but most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Lorraine and David Commins of Edgewater, FL, son and
daughter-in-law Robert and Joanne Walaszewski of Edgewater, FL; three grandchildren Jennifer and
Anne of FL, and Joseph Vennaro and his wife Deanna, Hollywood, FL, and three great grandchildren;
Taylor, Joey and Stevie. She also leaves a brother, Leo Wojtanowski and friend Helen Matys and
family, Utica, NY, and her cat Socks, who was a wonderful companion to her. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Frank Wojtanowski, and her husband of 60 years, Henry.

Funeral mass will be 11:00AM Tuesday, October 1 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Smyrna Beach.
Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. My Mom is 94 and lives with me. I retired 3 years ago. I hope you and Bob are enjoying life in Florida.
