Obituary
Joshua Alan Doenitz, 24, of Ft. Myers, Fl. passed away on October 1, 2017 at home and surrounded by loved ones. Joshua was born February 23, 1993 in Ft. Myers, Fl to Scott and Theresa (Copher) Doenitz. Joshua, an Eagle Scout, loved camping, fishing, shooting, gunsmithing, and helping others. Joshua graduated Ft. Myers High School in 2011, and achieved a certificate in gunsmithing from Ashworth College in 2015. Joshua is survived by his parents, Theresa and Scott Doenitz, his sister Lauren (Gaines) and her husband Joshua;his brother Matthew Doenitz; his Grandmother Carolyn Copher; his Grandmother Sarah Doenitz; his niece Noelle Gaines; his Uncle Scott Copher and his wife Jessica;his Uncle Chris Doenitz and his wife Shereth; his Aunt Cindy Spears and her husband Pat; cousins Ryan Doenitz, Kayla Doenitz, Kelsey Doenitz, Daniel Spears, Kevin Spears and his wife Abby and their daughter Jocelyn, Erin Karpowicz and her husband Jacob. Joshua loved and was loved by the family pets Odin, Kharmen, Jasmine and Snickers. Tara Copher, Tristan Copher, David Copher, Tatum Copher and Shane Copher. Joshua was preceded in death by his Grandfather Maurice Copher; and his Grandfather Floyd Doenitz. Services remembering Joshua and his accomplishments will be held at Southside Christian Church, 7800 College Pkwy Ft. Myers, Fl on Saturday October 7, 2017 at 4pm. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Southside Christian Church for growing God’s Kingdom, Alex’s Lemonade Stand or St. Baldricks Foundation to fight childhood cancer.
