Joshua David Whitaker, 37, passed away September 9, 2020 in Titusville, FL
He was born to the Rev. Hollis A. Whitaker and Sherry Whitaker in Oak Ridge, TN on July 9, 1983.
He grew up in Titusville and was in the T.H.S Choir and Madrigal Singers. He relocated to Kellogg, ID his Junior and senior year where he enjoyed playing football and baseball. He also won his high school’s talent show playing his electric guitar and got a standing ovation. Josh graduated from Kellogg High School in 2002.
He went on to attend Ivy Tech in Terra Haute, IN where he received a degree in Industrial Technology, Welding. He then returned to Titusville where he poured his life into his music. He was an incredibly gifted singer, songwriter and musician. He was well known for his talent throughout Florida’s Space Coast and beyond. His music and unforgettable voice can still be enjoyed as it is posted on all the popular platforms, iTunes, Spotify and iHeart Radio.
He is survived by his parents, Hollis and Sherry Whitaker, his siblings, Mary Aynn (Bill) Davis-Bill Jr. and Hunter; Corrie (Mike) Ferguson of Titusville-Brittany, Brooke and Noah; Samuel (Jackie) Whitaker of Mt. Dora, FL-Scott, Nicole and Samantha; Sarah (Doug) King of Titusville-Kyra, John and Enoch. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many lifelong friends. He was beloved by all who know him and we were blessed to be a part of his life. His song will forever live in all of our hearts.
Josh’s celebration of life services will be announced at a later date due to the immediate family’s illness.

He desired to Pay It Forward and help fund the future projects and episodes so people around the world could watch it for free.
