Obituary
Joyce Fogle passed peacefully in her sleep under the care of hospice and with her family around her on November 17, 2022. She was born in Peotone, IL. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Frank for a total of 56 years. She had a career in civil service with the Social Security office and did court recording among other civil jobs through her career. She enjoyed bowling with a capital “B”. One of her goals was to be bowling into her 90s, and she did it! She also enjoyed playing cards, reading, puzzle books, and quilting, (A quilt she began at age 14 was completed with the assistance of friends in the quilt club). Plus, she enjoyed camping and just being with family. Always had a smile for everyone and a wonderful sense of humor. Unless…she was about to Euchre someone. She was a member of the VFW auxiliary and Women’s Bowling Association. And even though she worked full time, found time to be a scout leader and church youth group leader. She is survived by her daughter Carol Fogle/Brogan (Jim), and step daughters: Nancy, Ruth, Lisa, and Sara and also several grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her parents, and three sisters. Joyce will be interred with her husband at Bushnell National Cemetery.
