Obituary

Joyce Virginia Timmins, 90, of North Port died Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at her home. She was born March 2, 1931 in Muscatine, Iowa, to the late Steven and Elsie Davis.

Joyce retired from the accounting field and was a dental assistant early on in her career. She enjoyed archery, water skiing, camping, fishing and hunting. Her greatest and favorite joy in the world was playing with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Donald, Robert, and Kenneth Davis, Maxine Easton and Darlene Kirchhoff.

Surviving are: a daughter, Margo Park of North Port; a son, Tony Cummins and wife, Stacey of Sarasota; six grandchildren and five great-granddaughters.

    One of my favorite memories of Joyce was watching her smile and sing along while my friend Nancy played her guitar and sang for her, Margo and me. Joyce's face lit up, and you could see the joy in her eyes. She will definitely be missed. Bless you, Margo, for the loving care you gave your mother for many years.

    Loved her beautiful smile and warm disposition, when we met we were instant friends and stayed so, always enjoyed seeing her. She is so missed, and loved.
