Obituary
Juanita Duran Pacheco went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2017. She was born September 27, 1927, in the Dominican Republic to Ramon Duran and Petronila Pacheco. She was a compassionate woman and a friend to everyone. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Most of all, she loved traveling and making memories. Whether it was walking in Central Park in New York City, enjoying the beach in Puerto Rico, or going on church trips to Jerusalem, she made the most of life and enjoyed being active. Juanita is survived by her son, daughter, five granddaughters, and one great grandchild. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Juanita during her time with us, among them; to live life full of joy. Her laughter was contagious. Everyone who was privileged to know her was touched by her love for life. As we reflect on her life, let us continue her legacy to live, laugh, and love one another. She would like for us to remember her for her love and the strength she found in Psalm 23:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of
righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow
of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil;
my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Juanita Duran Pacheco, partió a morar con el Señor el 29 de marzo de 2017. Ella nació en la República Dominicana a su padre Ramón Duran, y su madre Petronila Pacheco. Ella fue una mujer caritativa y amistosa con todas las personas que cruzaron su sendero. Ella amaba a toda su familia y disfrutaba mucho el compartir su tiempo con ellos. Más que todo, amaba viajar y tomar fotos que le permitieron crear memorias a través de toda su vida. Aunque estuviera caminando en el Parque Central de Nueva York, gozando de la playa en Puerto Rico, viajando con su grupo de la iglesia a Jerusalén, a ella le gustaba ser activa y aprovecho cada momento de una vida bien vivida. A Juanita le sobreviven un hijo y una hija, cinco nietas y un bisnieto. Fuimos bendecidos de saber las muchas buenas lecciones de Juanita en el tiempo que estuvo con nosotros. Nos enseñó como vivir la vida llena de alegría. Su risa era contagiosa. Todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla fueron impactados por su amor a la vida. Reflejamos en su vida siguiendo su legado de vivir, reír, y amarnos los unos a otros. Ella quisiera que la recordemos por su amor y la fortaleza que ella encontraba en el Salmo 23:
Jehová es mi pastor y nada me faltara. En lugar en lugares de delicados pasto
me hará descansar. Junto a aguas de reposo me pastoreara. Confortara mi alma.
Me guiara por sendas de justicia por amor de su nombre. Aunque ande en valle
de sombra de muerte, no temeré mal alguno, porque tú estarás conmigo. Tú vara
y tu cayado me infundirán aliento. Aderezas mesa delante de mí en presencia
de mis angustiadores. Unges mi cabeza con aceite, mi copa está rebosando.
Ciertamente el bien y la misericordia de Jehová me seguirán todos los días
de mi vida. Y en la casa de Jehová morare por largos días.
