Obituary
Our wonderful mom, Judith “Jude” Marie Elizabeth Belter (nee Kautza), 76 (October 6, 1946) of Rothschild, WI passed away on Saturday January 21, 2023 at the Ted and Diane Brandley hospice house with family and friends by her side.
Jude was born on October 6th, 1946 in Wausau, WI, the daughter of Bernard and Lillian Kautza. She is survived by her daughter Holly Huston of Overland Park, KS; her son DJ (Jacci ) Belter of Oshkosh, WI; brothers Jerry ( Judy) Kautza of Wausau, WI and Summerfield, FL; John Kautza, Madison, WI; and sister Joan (Bill) Laut of Minocqua, WI; grandchildren, Joshua Huston of Topeka, KS, Michael (Amy) Huston of Highland Heights, OH; Tessa Huston, Overland Park, KS; Ryann Belter of Ames, IA; Eric Belter of Milwaukee, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Heath at 31 years old, and her beloved dogs Aleigha and Sierra.
Jude worked for the state of Wisconsin as an administrative assistant, and later as a paralegal for various law firms. She was deep seated in her faith and actively involved in her church in the multiple cities she lived in. sWhen she moved to Florida she became a member of Village View Community Church on¬¬ July 14, 2013.
Jude’s life passion was directing plays, many of which were through Village View Community Church. Jude also enjoyed cooking, baking, leading bible study, entertaining friends, loved the outdoors and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was exceptionally known for her generosity and dedication to serving those in need. Jude “adopted” 3 children of Compassion International for over 20 years.
Jude’s Celebration of Life service will be on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 3:30 pm at Village View Community Church. In place of sending flowers, we invite you to make a donation to Compassion International https://www.compassion.com or Remember Nhu https://remembernhu.org in her honor.¬
A huge thank you to Hospice House, the doctors, nurses, and friends that surrounded her in her last days.
