Obituary
Julie Weeks passed peacefully with her family at her side on September 25, 2021, after an almost three-year battle with colon cancer. She was born on November 19, 1969, in Bridgton, ME daughter to Wesley and Cynthia Gorman (Martin). Julie was survived by her husband of just over 30 years, Scott Weeks, their two daughters, Taylor and Abby Weeks, her sister Heidi and brother Chris. Even as she took on the battle with cancer her amazing personality continued to shine through and impact those around her. Julie always had a way to bring a positive/full of life energy to anyone that she was around, even in the most challenging of times. Julie committed herself to be the best wife, mom, family person, and friend she could be. She always put her husband and daughters needs above her own. She enjoyed helping and watching her two daughters mature to become the outstanding people they are today. Some of Julie’s favorite things were spending time with her husband, being all in on her daughters’ activities, traveling to new places, and of course for those that knew her well, spending as much time a possible at the beach listening to the waves. The family extends a thank you to all that supported her and her family during her battle. In lieu of flowers the family would ask that donations be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Mayo Clinic Cancer Department for cancer research. Funeral services will be private.
May you Rest In Peace .
Your loving friend,
Joan
So sorry about the loss of Julie - he smile was infectious and her energy was boundless. The room brightened when she entered and her enthusiasm for life, friends, and especially family made her easy to love. Julie's attitude throughout her battle inspired those around her and she left the world a warmer and friendlier place. Our thoughts and prayers are with you for wisdom, peace, and healing.
